Jazz Ensembles
Esperanza Jazz Bands place near the top of all high school jazz bands in the region.  Esperanza has three high performing and entertaining bands, with all bands scoring and placing near the top in annual competitions and festivals.  In April 2010, Esperanza took four competitive groups (two bands and two combos) to the prestigious Reno International Jazz Festival.  Two groups, Jazz I and Combo I placed in their division with Jazz I placing 4th out of 16 bands in the AAA Division and Combo I placing 6th out of 19 in the AAA Combo Division.  Jazz I competed against some of the toughest Jazz bands in the western states.  We will be returning to Reno in 2011.  Come see the bands and combos at local festivals, school concerts and other venues throughout the year.  Check the calendar for dates and times.
